Inktober 10- Lava Dog

Yesterday’s Inktober drawing! I was able to finish it but it was late so I didn’t bother trying to post it last night ;3

This is the last character of the Monster Police Story I’m going to introduce right night I think! I’m going to move onto another story next

I’m not sure how much info I can give on this guy not only because of spoilers but simply because of the fact that no one knows anything about him

Some people aren’t even sure what he is. They know he’s a faunoir, but every faunoir so far encountered has directly correlated to some earth animal. Falcon faunoir. Spider faunoir. Rhino faunoir. Even if the capabilities of the creatures are different, there is usually a very obvious physical similarities.

We know he’s a faunoir. That part is not up for debate. But what kind of faunoir is he? Dog? Wolf? That what most people think but his anatomy is extremely off. Maybe he’s some weird kind of bear? Someone has even once described him as “ a big fat cow made out of fire and nightmares.” It isn’t unanimous, but the most common opinion is that he is some type of lava dog. A lot of it from the context clues of his dog-like behavior.

Like all faunoir, no one knows where he came from. What makes him unique, however, is that he seems to have no interest in hurting humans, which every other faunoir seemed bent on. Erich ran into him on a patrol around the city borders and was shocked to see that he didn’t try to hurt him.

 Not only is he harmless to humans, he’s actually somehow imprinted on Erich and demands on being by his side at all times. 

No one knows why or how, but he definitely seems intent on being with Erich and protecting him. He’ll attack anyone that hurts Erich, including other faunoir. He has actually displayed some faint understanding of English, but he only listens to Erich (unless Erich tells him to listen to the other person…)

He’s actually only warm to the touch, but he DOES heat up very quickly if agitated. He can also grow and shrink, though his weight remains the same. So if he shrinks he’s extremely dense, and if he grows large enough he can act as a big balloon. He also can spit lava and shoot fireballs. Any other abilities he has are unknown.
